Admission Test Date

Prospective candidates for admission can sit for the admission test at four different venues, namely Dhaka, Chattogram, Bogura, and Khulna. The admission tests at each venue will commence at specific dates and times, as follows:

Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS)

As for the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) unit, candidates who have completed their HSC or equivalent examination in either 2021 or 2022 are eligible to apply.

Science: Total GPA 9.00 ( Minimum SSC & HSC GPA 4.50)

Humanities: Total GPA 8.00 ( Minimum SSC & HSC GPA 4.00)

Business: Total GPA 8.50 ( Minimum SSC & HSC GPA 4.00)

*0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong attempt.

The Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) unit at Bangladesh University of Professionals admits students who have passed their HSC or equivalent examination from the science group in either 2021 or 2022.

Total GPA 9.25 ( Minimum SSC & HSC GPA 4.50).

Marks Distribution

FST candidates sit for 80 marks written exam.

To apply for the Faculty of Security & Strategic Studies (FSSS) unit at Bangladesh University of Professionals, students who have passed their HSC or equivalent examination in either 2021 or 2022 are eligible

  • Science: Total GPA 8.50 ( Minimum SSC & HSC GPA 4.50)
  • Business: Total GPA 8.25 ( Minimum SSC & HSC GPA 3.75)
  • Humanities: Total GPA 8.25 ( Minimum SSC & HSC GPA 3.75)

(3) Masters Degree holders will be rewarded with 1 (one) additional point.

(4) Applicants who appeared in ‘0’ level examination must obtain pass marks at least in 05 (five) subjects with a minimum ‘D’ grade in each.

(5) Applicants who appeared in ‘A’ level examination must obtain pass marks at least in 02 (two) subjects with minimum ‘D’ grade in each.

(6) Candidates will have to sit for a written test (MCQ) of 100 marks. The mark distribution is as follows:

  • Mathematics 35
  • English – 35
  • General Knowledge 20
  • Creative Writing-10

How candidates will be evaluated

As per the admission prospectus, applicants’ profiles will be evaluated in accordance with different parameters such as Written test score, viva score, and previous result, to select the final candidates.

For Undergrad candidates

  • Written test – 70%
  • Viva-Voce – 15%
  • HSC/Equivalent Result – 05%
  • HSC/Equivalent Result – 10%

For MBA Candidates

  • Written test – 65%
  • Viva-Voce – 15%
  • Undergraduate/Equivalent Result – 10%
  • HSC/Equivalent Result – 10%
  • HSC/Equivalent Result – 05%
  • HSC/Equivalent Result – 05%

Secret Opportunity

If a student has completed a BBA program from the Department of Business Administration General under the Faculty of Business Studies (FBS) at BUP, they are not required to take the admission test. Instead, they must submit an application to the Chairman of the Department of Business Administration General, FBS, before the deadline for submission.
